Indian pop singer Dhvani Bhanushali is set to headline a concert in celebration of World Environment Day on June 8, 2024. The event, which will be held at Amphitheatre in Bandra in suburban Mumbai, aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainability.
The showcase will support the Dhvani's role as a goodwill brand ambassador for non-profit organization Bhamla Foundation's latest initiative, #BhoomiNamaskar in association with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Ministry Of Environment, Forest And Climate Change (MoEFCC)
Talking about this opportunity, Dhvani Bhanushali shared, "I am honored to lend my support to the Bhamla Foundation on World Environment Day. The challenges facing our planet are real, and we need to unite as one big family to make a positive difference. This Earth is all we have - there's no backup plan. The environment is a cause I deeply care about, and I believe that music has the power to inspire positive change Remember, every small step counts. The Bhamla Foundation is dedicated to environmental conservation and education. The foundation works to protect the planet by supporting sustainable practices, promoting environmental awareness and educating the public about the importance of environmental stewardship.
Asif Bhamla went on to add, "We are thrilled to have Dhvani Bhanushali on board for our World Environment Day concert. Her resonance with the Gen Z community will help us to reach a young audience and spread our message of environmental responsibility."
The concert will feature 26-year-old musician performing some of her biggest hits such as 'Thank You God' 'Vaaste' 'Leja Re' and 'Heal The World', as well as a special environmentally themed song.
#BhoomiNamaskar which translates to 'Salutation To Mother Earth', highlights the importance of restoration of ecosystems to combat climate change for a sustainable future. A bevy of goodwill ambassadors such as Varun Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shreya Ghoshal, Shekhar Ravjiani, R Balki and Malaika Arora have lent their support to this campaign as they will lend a helping hand in raising awareness around the need for collective responsibility towards environmental conservation.
